Having embarked on a career in Stockbroking/Investment Management in 1999 from a marketing background and attaining a Masters degree, Shujahat Khawaja (often referred to as Micky) worked initially in the City of London as a broker. He then moved back to the North, settling in Manchester where he continued to work as a Stockbroker/Investment Manager.
However, in 2005 with changes in the marketplace, he diversified into financial advising and became an IFA. In 2011, after a few different roles including being a partner in an IFA practice he and his family made the bold move to emigrate to Dubai, UAE where he secured a position as an Offshore Adviser/Wealth Manager and offering his services and expertise to the Expat market. In 2014 he decided to set up his own practice as a Financial Adviser in the UK and was invited to join the prestigious St. James's Place Wealth Management.
Micky was intrigued by the Investment Management Approach adopted by St. James's Place Wealth Management and the support and importance St. James's Place places on the client/adviser relationship. This supports the reputation he has built as a very approachable and reliable adviser.
Micky specialises in providing solutions in the areas of Retirement planning, Estate and Inheritance Tax planning and Investment Planning and believes, ‘Focusing on providing a dedicated personal service to all clients, helping them to create a firm foundation in meeting their financial objectives, so that they can look to the future with confidence and optimism.
His other interests include spending quality time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys football and has been a keen Liverpool supporter since the age of six.
